Week 16 Appointment

Today I had my week 16 doctor's appointment. The baby's heartbeat was strong, and I decided to call Adam and my mom to let them hear it over the phone. That made their day! The doctor also said that I was measuring at 17 weeks and decided to move my ultrasound up. I'm so excited!!!! I can't wait to see our little baby!!! The ultrasound is scheduled for March 2nd and both Adam and my mom will be there. I'm assuming I will then know a more accurate due date, because I'm still not convinced that it's July 28th. For awhile now, I have been thinking I'm further along. And, with me measuring bigger than 16 weeks, and feeling the baby move so early, I think I have been right this whole time! So, we'll see. :)

Well, here goes nothin'....

Hey everyone! Where do I start?

Adam and I got married about 7 months ago on July 19th, 2008. It was a beautiful day and we were so excited to share it with many family and friends.

Then, in September/October 2008, I got a new job (within 5/3) as the Lead Customer Service Representative at the Clyde Park/44th Street branch in Grand Rapids. We had been looking at houses in the Grand Rapids area and finally decided on this cute little dollhouse.

I was a little lonely while Adam was gone on the road, so we decided to add to the family and get a puppy. We ended up getting a Pomeranian named Karmella because I wanted a dog that would stay small. She sure is a momma's little girl, she follows me around EVERYWHERE! Adam got a little jealous and wanted his own dog to go with him in the truck during the week, so we decided to add ANOTHER one. Ellie May is a Golden Retriever/Cocker Spaniel mix. She's a good dog and is definitely a daddy's girl. She freaks out when Adam leaves the room without her.

Our latest news came on November 24th, 2008. I wasn't feeling to good that day and realized I was "late", so, I decided to take a home pregnancy test. No joke, within 15 seconds it read "Pregnant" loud and clear. I was thinking, OMG, this has GOT to be wrong, so I decided to take another, and another and another. All together I took 4 tests. They all came back with the same news!

We were soooo excited we couldn't keep the news to ourselves. We called our parents that night and probably told everyone the next day. The due date is July 28th and we have decided not to find out the sex of the baby. Adam and I can't wait for the day we meet our little one! I was fortunate enough to feel him/her move for the first time the other day (2/6/09) and have felt the movements once everyday since then.

Well, I think that brings you up to date with everything. Until next time....
